Alumni Association

HBIU Alumni Association membership consists of all certificates and degree recipients and former students having earned 15 credit hours or more at HBI University. There is an annual fee of $100 required to participate, and membership is automatic to all who qualify.

Association Board

The mission of the HBIU Alumni Association Board is to establish Honor, Become, Inspire and Unite. It is the goal of HBIU Alumni Association Board members to meet online monthly with members in the United States and globally.

The strategic plan of the HBIU Alumni Association Board covers three areas:

  • Sustain honor and strengthen the identity of the HBIU Alumni Association as a voice for all alumni
  • Inspire our alumni to Increase personal engagement with recent alumni
  • Increase alumni participation in HBIU Alumni Association activities

Our plan is to start building in 2021 in Kenya, we have been given 7 acres of land. we currently have 5 schools in Kenya, our desire is to build a campus, clinic and a career trade center to help our students acquire employment. No child left behind, we believe the children need to be educated on biblical principles. Children need a safe place, this is why we are compelled to have recreation centers for children, that servers a hot meal, books to read, computers, and various activities to help children grow ad become whom they were meant to be.

1) Be a part of the Alumni Association

This is your time to be a part of the Alumni Association, be a part of the growth of your university. Your voice count, your gift matters, as we advance the Kingdom of God

Alumni Association: Learn about the Alumni Association, who qualifies as an alum, and the benefits of being one.

Volunteer: Support HBIU with your gift of time.

Refer a Student: Let the admissions department know about a high school student who would benefit from an HBIU college experience.

Join: There are many opportunities to connect with alumni by joining a club located in your very own city!

The HBIU Alumni should function in the following order:

  • HBIU Alumni Association President
  • HBIU Alumni Association Vice President
  • HBIU Alumni Association Secretary
  • HBIU Alumni Association Treasurer
  • HBIU Alumni Association Public Relations Officer
  • HBIU Alumni Association Project Director

The President will preside in board meetings, oversee the Association, and ensure that goals are achieved.

The Vice President will assist the President in his roles, and head the Planning/Organizing Committee.

The Secretary will maintain membership records, execute basic clerical duties, and take minutes in the Planning/Organizing Committee.

The Treasurer serve as the Custodian of the funds in the Association, and will head the Fundraising Committee. The Public Relations Officer will ensure that the Association has an excellent public image by using a variety of marketing/public relations tools.

The Project Director will ensure that each project is properly executed.

Student Referral Committee. *Each committee will include floor members of the Association. *Committees are to meet on the last.

Tuesday of each month: *The President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer, Project Director, and Student Referral Program Director will form the Association Board.

This Board will meet the first Tuesday of each month to discuss the reports of each committee.

3) Join HBIU Clubs & Societies

Fine Arts Club: Promote and support the fine and performing arts and student-artists at HBIU.

Regional Clubs: Join a group of friends who live in your town and are dedicated to HBIU.


4) Volunteer for a Project Invite a Student

Alumni Recruitment Team: The Alumni Recruitment Team provides alumni with opportunities to represent HBIU in a variety of capacities to help recruit qualified admission candidates.

Class agent fund-raising: Send letters to your peers encouraging their involvement in HBIU annual fund drive.

Reunion committee chair: Plan for class activities at Four-year incremental reunions and for special affinity group reunions at Homecoming & Family Weekend.
